Multiple rumours and leaks suggest the Switch’s successor is called the Nintendo Switch 2. If true, it’s a safe final name, although not a surprise considering the difficulties the Wii U endured. It’s also unmistakably clear and easy to market.
The Nintendo DS’ successor became known as the 3DS. What we got there was a safe iteration, a more powerful DS with optional stereoscopic 3D. All things point to the Switch successor following suit.
