Yves Guillemot: A new Splinter Cell game is coming

Splinter Cell fans hungry for a new game might be in luck. Ubisoft’s CEO, Yves Guillemot, has pretty much confirmed they’re ready to make the next installment in the series.

Takeaways:

  • Asked about a possible a new game in the franchise, Yves said: “What we can say is we’re receiving a lot of sketches and proposals around the brand and we’re going to pick one up.”
  • It looks like fans might have to be patient though: “I think you will be able to see something, but you will have to wait for that,” he said with a smile.
  • Sam Fisher last made an appearance in the positively received Splinter Cell: Blacklist, four years ago in 2013.

You can find Yves being asked the all-important question in the video below. It’s clear that it’s too early to talk about the next game, but at least we know it’s coming. Maybe we’ll see it at E3 next year. Have you missed Splinter Cell? Are you craving some more stealth action? Let us know in the comments below, if you please.

  1. Splinter Cell is hands down my favorite game franchise. I’m really excited to hear that they’re putting out a new game, even if I have to wait for it!
