Capcom have announced that Monster Hunter XX is heading to the Nintendo Switch, in Japan at least, on the 25th August.
The new trailer shows off some gameplay on the Switch while undocked, and then docked, driving home the message that you’ll be able to play the game anywhere.
Monster Hunter is a huge series in Japan and has sold very well indeed on the 3DS. The fact that Capcom has therefore chosen to support the Switch doesn’t come as much of a surprise. Still, it’s nice to see them bring some proper content (Ultra Street Fighter 2…) to the hybrid machine.
We expect to hear more about the game at E3, with a western release almost a certainty. Check out the announcement (in Japanese) below.
