E3 2017: My Spidey senses are tingling for the new game on PS4

Marvel’s Spider-Man, by Insomniac Games, closed Sony’s E3 conference and it looks stunning – the most lifelike version to date. It was an unexpected ending as most people (myself included) were expecting Last of Us 2 to be shown, but you can’t rush art, and gamers are insatiable (we always want more).

Let’s get back to Spider-Man. I have to say I am happy to see the new game somersaulting and diving through the E3 conference. We saw Spider-Man in the air brandishing his web shooters, saving people from helicopters, scaffolding and all sorts of debris falling from the sky. Beautiful chaos. It looked very polished with slick fighting mechanics to boot.

And then there were the wisecracks we all know and love:

Saving bad guys from other bad guys – not how I thought my day would go.

With an original story as well, not taken from the films or comics, I eagerly await a fresh take on Peter Parker’s antics.

The PS4 exclusive is due to be released in 2018 on PS4 and PS4 Pro. As you can tell, I’m pretty stoked about the game. What about you?

What do you think?
